The Geminids ✨ are one of the most active meteor showers of the year. Their radiant is located in the constellation Gemini, with peak activity occurring in mid-December—in 2025, during the night of December 13th–14th. Under ideal skies, it's possible to observe as many as 120–150 meteors per hour during the peak. 🌠

📍 This image was captured on the eve and during the night of the shower's peak, together with Marzena Rogozińska. 🏔️ In the foreground, you can see the iconic "Betlejemka" (the PZA Central Training Center) at Hala Gąsienicowa. The sky features a panorama of the winter Milky Way, including Orion and its surroundings. To the left of the Milky Way lies the area of the sky where the Geminid radiant is located.

📷 The data was recorded using six cameras running continuously in timelapse mode. From a total of over 10,000 exposures, we selected approximately 140 frames containing meteors, which were then combined into a single final image.

Working on a project like this is incredibly demanding, but seeing the final result brings us immense satisfaction! 🤩
